Thommo thinks Guardiola’s Man City will dominate Mourinho’s Man Utd in Sunday’s Manchester derby – 4:30pm.

Manchester City take on arch-rivals Manchester United on Super Sunday, but who will emerge victorious at the Etihad?

It is believed that Man City has an upper hand in this match due the super performance exhibited since the beginning of the season at being at the top of the premier league table.

In contrast, United are languishing down in seventh, already nine points behind the defending champions after losing three of their opening 11 league matches.

However, United manager Jose Mourinho did manage to get one over on City the last time they clashed in the league in April, when the visitors came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 and temporarily halt their city rivals’ title march. Reporting from Sky Sports.

Most predictions indicates that Man City to win it by 2-0 and it will largely dominate the game right early.

According Paul Merson’s prediction: Man City to win 3-1
United have big problems at centre back. If United start like they did against Bournemouth, then the game will be over inside 15 minutes. It wouldn’t surprise me if City win this 5-0, but this is Jose Mourinho, who always turns up in the big games. He’ll have a plan to keep United in the game. City will be nervous despite United being the bigger club. The pressure is on City as they are expected to win. I think they will. 3-1.

Gary Neville fears his former club Manchester United will be beaten by arch-rivals Man City in the Premie’r League this weekend.

Defending champions Manchester City, meanwhile, have won nine of their first 11 games and smashed Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0 during the week.

While Neville is hoping for a Manchester United victory in the derby, he says his ‘head’ is telling him City will come out on top.

‘Nothing would really surprise me in this game as it could swing so much either way,’ the former England defender told Sky Sports.

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if City won 3-0 but it wouldn’t surprise me if United won 2-1 or 3-2 either.

‘My heart says United will win 2-1 because they’ll basically stay in the game and score two late goals after City failed to kill them off.

‘My head probably says City will win more than likely 2-0, 3-1, something like that.’
