Ibrahim Orit signs for Vipers as a free agent on a three years deal subject to renewal after its expiration in June 2023.
Ibrahim Orit spent three competitive seasons at Mbarara City and his high work rate attracted the attention of the newly crowned league champions.
Who is Ibrahim Orit?
Ibrahim Orit kicked off his career at Junior Eagles football academy in the North East town.
It is from here where he switched to Future Stars a regional league team from where Mbarara City spotted him acquiring his services in 2017.
His prodigious talent has made him one of the hottest properties in Mbarara in the previous season.
He led the Ankole Lions leading them to a seventh league position on the table log with four goals to his account.
Ibrahim Orit happy to join Vipers
The pacy winger expressed his pleasure to be joining an ambitious club and takes the new challenge as an opportunity to showcase his talent more.
“I‘m happy to be here as it has always been my dream to feature for this competitive club,” Ibrahim Orit said.
“When the coach called to express his interest, it wasn’t a hard decision to make.”
“Allow me also to thank the Mbarara City administration for the wonderful time I have had with them and all fans for the love they showed throughout my stay at the club.”
Vipers with squad depth
Vipers SC head coach Fred Kajoba will be hoping that Orit can provide the solution to wing areas which had proved wanting in recent times.
His arrival will surely reignite Allan Kayiwa who is yet to fulfill his potential at the Kitende-based club.
The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes and Orit’s squad number will be confirmed soon.
