UPL, Big League Clubs invited for FUFA consultative meeting

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has called for a consultative meeting with teams featuring in the top two men’s football divisions.

These will include teams in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and StarTimes FUFA Big League for the 2020/2021 season.

The meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, June 10th 2020 at FUFA Executive House according to the letter issued to clubs.

The meeting will take place at FUFA House in Mengo

Meeting’s main focus will be on club licensing programme for the 2020/2021 season and the proposed competitions reforms.

“FUFA wishes to invite the clubs that have sportingly qualified for the 1st Division season 2020/2021 for a consultative meeting,” the statement posted on Fufa official website reads.

“The meeting will take place on Wednesday 10th June 2020 at FUFA Executive House Conference Hall starting at 10:00 am,” it continues.

MYDA FC invited in the meeting

After securing promotion I the top flight, MYDA FC will also be part of the meeting with other UPL outfits.

“Specifically invited is the UPL Board, Vipers SC, KCCA FC, SC Villa, Busoga United, URA FC, BUL FC, Mbarara City FC.”

“Express FC, Wakiso Giants FC, Kyetume FC, Police FC, Bright Stars FC, Onduparaka FC and MYDA FC,” the statement further reads.

Meanwhile, the meeting with StarTimes FUFA Big League teams will take place on Friday 12th June 2020.

The FUFA Big League teams that are invited include Proline FC, Maroons FC, Tooro United FC, Kiboga Young FC, Kataka FC, Bukedea Town Council FC.

Paidha Black Angels FC, Doves All Stars FC, Kitara FC, UPDF FC, Ndejje University FC, Kigezi Home Boys FC, Nyamityobora FC and Water FC.

FUFA Big League teams to meet on Friday

Each club will be represented by one person who shall be either the club owner or their representative.

“In order to abide by the COVID 19 guideline of social distancing, each club shall be represented by one person who shall be the Club Owner or their representative.”

The federation will also meet clubs featuring in the FUFA Women Super League, Women Elite League, National Beach Soccer League and Fustal League.

A date for these meetings will be communicated by the federation.
