The Ministry of Health on Sunday confirmed one new Covid-19 case bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 89.
The new case is a 39-year-old Kenyan driver who arrived in the country through Malaba border.
The case was confirmed out of the 2729 samples of truck drivers and efforts to track him are underway.
However, more 201 samples from the community all tested negative for Covid-19.

There has also been a confirmation from the Ministry that the community case confirmed on Saturday from Rakai district has been evacuated to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital and his family members are all under quarantine.
“We ended our support supervision activities with a meeting with the Masaka Regional Referral hospital team.
“The hospital is currently treating four (4) #COVID19 patients including yesterday’s case from Rakai. We are working on putting up a fully functional ICU, which is a big gap,” tweeted Dr. Diana Atwine.
