The ministry of health-Uganda has today recorded one COVID-19 death bringing the country’s death toll to 29.
The victim is a Ugandan female aged 45 years old and a resident of Kampala.
Meanwhile, the country has also confirmed 91 COVID-19 cases of the 4,475 samples that were tested today. These include 88 contacts and alerts, two truck drivers, and one health worker from Luweero.
The contacts and alerts are from Kampala-Uganda with 44, Luweero with 18, Kikuube with six, Wakiso with five, Tororo with three, Ntoroko with three, Jinja with three Kitgum with two while the remaining four are from Buikwe, Gulu, Lira, and Mukono.
Of the 1,073 samples from the points of entry that were tested, two Ugandan truck drivers from Malaba were positive.

Three foreign truck drivers also tested positive for coronavirus at the border points of entry and their entry into the country was not permitted
To date, Uganda has 2,847 as the cumulative total of confirmed coronavirus. The country’s recoveries are now 1,288.
