Uganda Cranes will take on South Sudan in the matchday three of the AFCON 2021 group B qualifiers.
The first game of the double header will be played on Thursday November 12th 2020 at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
The return leg will be played on Monday, 16th November 2020 at the Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi.
The Uganda Cranes team has been engaged in training sessions for the past 10 days at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo and St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in preparation for this game.
The Johnathan McKinstry coached side target three points from this encounter to increase their chances of the final tournament qualification.
McKinstry said that the game is crucial and the team needs to make sure it gets maximum points to remain at the top of the group standings.
McKinstry targets win
“We cannot underrate any team, we need to make sure we play well and get the good result we need,” McKinstry said before adding.
“They are stubborn opponents. Gone are days when they used to concede four or five goals.”

Israel based William Kizito Luwagga, Sweden based Ronald Mukiibi and Joseph Benson Ochaya who features for TP Mazembe of DR Congo were the final arrivals on Tuesday afternoon.
Uganda Cranes trained on Wednesday morning at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the final training as their counterparts trained in the afternoon.
Uganda is joint top of Group B in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers with four points same as Burkina Faso.
