StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC are interested in signing Pius Obuya and Bright Anukani according to reports.

Maroons’ Obuya and Proline’s Anukani are comprehended as realistic targets who can strengthen KCCA FC’s attacking unit.

Although the next transfer window’s dates are not known due to the current coronavirus pandemic which will automatically alter the season’s dates, KCCA have not been deterred in moving forward in search of new players they would like to have in future.

According to Kawowo Sports, the duo have already agreed on contractual terms with the Lugogo based club and only await the right time to make the agreement official.

The two are thought to be good replacements for youngster Allan Okello, who left KCCA FC and joined to AC Paradou of Algeria during the short transfer window in January.

It should be noted that the Mike Mutebi coached side have been struggling to create chances since Okello’s departure.

The two summer signings in Simon Sserunkuuma and Erisa Ssekisambu have also failed to perform up to the expectations.

Others are Jackson Nunda and Muzamiru Mutyaba who have failed to create consistent performances leaving Mutebi with no player to rely on in the attacking side.

KCCA’s woeful season

KCCA FC had a season to forget due to poor performances, especially in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

They are currently second on the log with 50 points four below table leaders Vipers SC who are on 54 points.

They managed to win only 15 games out of the 25 played, they drew five and lost five times in the process.

They have managed only 42 goals yet they are known for their scoring ability, conceded 21 goals in the process.

Since Patrick Kaddu, Allan Kyambadde and Allan Okello left the club, they have failed to get ideal replacements.
