If he fulfills his dream, Mukwala will be the first Maroons FC player to win the golden boot in the Uganda Premier League.

According to Steven Mukwala who is on loan from league leaders Vipers SC, it will be a dream come true if he wins the award by the end of the current campaign.
“Becoming the league top scorer is my dream, I work hard every day to achieve that dream,” Mukwala was quoted saying before adding.

Steven Mukwala is one of the players who was included in Uganda’s provisional squad for the Chan competition.
However, the competition which was scheduled for April 4-25 in Cameroon, was later pushed forward due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Maroons are still fighting for survival in the league, they are sited 14th on the 16-team log with just 24 points from 25 games played.
This means that they will need to win all their remaining five games if they are to secure their spot in the league.
Vipers SC are still on top of the log with 54 points, KCCA are second with 50 points while SC Villa are third with 46 points with five games to play.
However, the league is currently suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic across the world.
