This time around, it is Italian-Ugandan midfielder Stefano Mazengo who signed a contract until 2022.
Stefano Mazengo ready for competition
Stefano Mazengo said that he is ready for competition after signing for the Lugogo-based club.
The central midfielder officially signed for the Mike Mutebi coached side on Monday June 29th, signing contract a two-year deal.
“I know there going to be a lot of competition but am here to compete,” Stefano Mazengo said before adding.
“When I get my chance, I hope I do well so that I become a whole piece of this KCCA FC team.”
“I am aware of KCCA FC playing style, the fans will see that am here for a different reason. I will try to use my brain on the field,” he added.
Stefano Mazengo conversant with Ugandan life
Mazengo has had a chance to train with KCCA FC since January this year and his skills impressed Mike Mutebi to sign him.
He is a product of the Kampala Kids League program where he played with current KCCA anchorman Gift Ali.
Mazengo can play as an attacking, central and defensive midfielder and his acquisition gives Mike Mutebi quite some options in the midfield.
He possesses good passing skills a trait that is key for any player at KCCA especially in the midfield.
What you need to know about Stefano Mazengo
He kicked off his career at Hellas Verona FC in Italy before joining Kampala Kids League Uganda where he was between 2006 and 2009.
Between 2014 and 2016, he was in FC Leorvadia in Netherlands. He also had a short stint at Deusto University FC in Spain.
In 2017, he moved to Don Vittorio FC and a year later he joined Sheffield Hallam University in United Kingdom.
He later joined Sheffield FC Futsal team until 2019 and he decided to join KCCA FC to develop his football career.
Stefano Mazengo holds a Bachelor in International Leisure Management he got at Steden University (Netherlands) and Deusto University (Spain).
Mazengo also holds a masters degree in Sports Business and Management studied at Sheffield Hallam University.
