Nigeria’s finest top female artiste Simisola Kosoko alias Simi has hit the studio with another hit banger dubbed “No longer Beneficial. The 32-year-old’s hit song signals her rebirth of sound which sees her mixing sultry ad future R&B with very vibrant Afrobeats. Simi also revealed that before she got her break into the industry, she had many moments of uncertainty.
“Before I got my break in the industry, I had so many moments of uncertainty. I was bursting with all this creativity and I was almost desperate for someone to bank on it. So I channeled my energy into the first Restless EP. “Restless”, because it was how I felt. Thankfully, I made it to the other side,” Simi said.

Simisola Kosoko alias Simi is a songwriter, actress, and performing artiste from Nigeria. She was born on the 19th of April in 1988 in Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos in Nigeria. She is also the last born in a family of four children. Simi also reveals that her parents separated when she was at the age of 9. Hmm, she also said that she grew up as a tomboy. Simi went to Stars International College located in Ikorodu, Lagos State for her secondary education.

She then joined Covenant University where she achieved a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. According to reports, Simi began her music career as a Gospel singer which saw her release her first studio album dubbed Ogaju in 2008. She never gave up until when she gained her breakthrough in 2014 after releasing a hit song dubbed Tiff. In addition, the Tiff song was then nominated for the Best Alternative Song at The Headies of 2015. This, however, sparked her luck to success thus signing a record deal with X3M in 2014, however, she quit the label after her contract expired in 2019.
