Sadat Anaku strike enough as KCCA FC sink Onduparaka

Sadat Anaku scored the only goal as KCCA FC completed a double over Onduparaka FC.

The Kasasiro Boys edged the West Nile Boys in a narrow 0-1 away win at Greenlight Stadium on Sunday.

The opening stanza was a start and stop affair as the larger part of the half had players receive medical attention from doctors of both teams.

Teenager Sserwadda nearly drew first blood for the visitors KCCA FC.

But his effort flew wide from a well crossed ball down the right by Kigozi Samson after a quarter an hour.

On 28 minutes, Magambo’s well weighted free kick was cleared away by the hosts Onduparaka.

Kigozi won possession controlled well but his rebound went flying over the frame of the goal.

Three minutes after the half hour mark, Sadat Anaku picked a loose ball in the midfield.

He went for the spectacular from close to 30 yards out but his effort landed on the roof of the net.

Three minutes to the interval, Sserwadda teed up Lwanga but his final ball let him down.

The effort went begging with the hosts’ custodian at his mercy.

On 71 minutes, Sserwadda’s corner kick was parried away by Onduparaka’s custodian Kimera Tonny.

Sadat Anaku went for the rebound but his effort from close to 20 yards out went begging.

Fillbert Obenchan was then cautioned for a foul on Onduparaka’s Moses Okot

12 minutes to full time, Achai beat his marker down the left wing and crossed in the box to Sserwadda who knocked the ball in Anaku’s path.

He then fired KCCA FC in front with a spectacular finish.

A win saw KCCA FC climb to forth place on the log with 37 points from 20 games.
