Head of state President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said he is tired of begging members of Parliament to fulfill duties that are expected of them.
The disappointed head of state made the statement while closing off a three-week retreat for Members of Parliament elected under the National Resistance Movement party at Ngoma Government Farm, Luweero district.
The comment was triggered by Makerere University Professor Dr Margaret Kahwa’s presentation in which she talked of her recently discovered vaccine to fight ticks in cattle in which she requested for a 22 billion funding from government to build an industry for the greatly needed vaccine.
President Museveni criticized Members of Parliament for not fronting such an innovative program since it would not only help fight against the parasites among the cattle but would additionally help the country to earn revenue from neighboring countries with a similar problem through export.
