PETR CECH will make a decision on his future after the Europa League final following reports that Chelsea wants him to be a sporting director.
The 37-year-old, who spent 11 years between the sticks at Stamford Bridge, will end his 20-year playing career with Arsenal this season.
According to Sky Sports News, Cech has been offered the chance to continue his career with his former club next season.
But Cech tweeted: “Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before, I’ll make the decision about my future after the last game. Now my sole focus is to win the EL with Arsenal.”
Cech has started ten of Arsenal’s 14 games in the competition, but Unai Emery has not confirmed whether he will start the match.
The Gunners boss said: “All is positive. I have only known him this year.
“His experience is vast in football, he is here because he has done [great] service.
“I believe in him, I can use him or I can use Leno but above all, I want to enjoy special moments with players.”
Arsenal fans would have wanted Cech between the sticks as he boasts an incredible trophy-winning record against his former side.
