A senior staff member at the Kyambogo University Human Resource department has tested positive for Covid-19. This has led to the closure of the university human resource department.
This comes to nearly two weeks when a desk staff in the office of the dean of faculty of vocational studies tested positive for coronavirus
Following the positive cases at faculty of vocational studies, the department was closed while 9 people were immediately sent into self-isolation including Assoc. Prof. Bosco Bua, the Faculty Dean, Ms. Ekyatuheire Lydia the Assistant Registrar, and Mr. Muliira Edward the Administrative Assistant.
The Kyambogo University Director Human Resources, Richard Manano, also advised them to work virtually during there period of isolation and the faculty offices were to be fumigated during that time.
While addressing the students virtually during the university reopening last month, the University vice Chancellor, Eli Katunguka reemphasized the ministry of health Covid-19 guidelines such as social distancing, avoiding crowds, hand washing, sanitizing, and wearing face masks.

He also noted that the university had provided temperature guns, hand washing facilities, and sanitizers at various points at the campus premises
