Odion then moved to the English Championship in 2014 after agreeing on terms with English side Watford. In addition, he was a key player in club’s promotion to the top flight in the 2014-2015 season. Chinese Super League Changchun Yatai signed Ighalo Odion for a reported fee of £20m from Watford. In addition, before he moved to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.
Manchester United then went for Ighalo’s loan move from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua in January until the end of the 2019-2020 season. In addition, it signed Odion to replace the injured Marcus Rashford who was their main man upfront. However, Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer is confident Manchester United will sign Ighalo on a permanent deal.
The Premier League was suspended due to the outbreak of the coronavirus global pandemic. However, Ighalo did not disappoint as he proved his critics wrong by putting his names on the score list of the first Nigerian to ever score for the red devils.
