The Super Eagles play the Cranes of Uganda in an international friendly encounter on Tuesday, November 20 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
The 2013 African champions could not find the back of the net against the east Africans and ended 2018 with a draw
The East Africans have now extended their undefeated streak against Nigeria to three matches after holding the Eagles to only the second goalless draw of Gernot Rohr’s tenure.
The game comes up three days after Nigeria clinched a ticket to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, by drawing 1-1 with South Africa in Johannesburg.
The Cranes defeated the Super Eagles 1-0 the last time both teams met in a friendly match on March 25, 2015.
The wideman showed glimpses of his brilliance, but home supporters will hope that there’s more to come from him.
Despite the introduction of Samuel Kalu and Isaac Success at the interval, which ought to have added more bit to the attack, Nigeria failed to threaten Jamal Magooa in the opposition goal.
The Super Eagles’s fans have shifted the anger to social media after the team tweeting an update of the match.
“FT: 0-0 The #NGAUGA international friendly has ended goalless here at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.” Super Eagle tweeted.
“Waste of time. You play Uganda and can’t win? So much for Super Eagles.” RIP, Tosyn Bucknor responded.
“I like a team who has a game plan and stick to it! Ugandans did that. Super eagles atimes appear like a team with individual players only showcasing personal talent and skill.” Temi Oyedepo Super Eagle fan said.

Don’t have any tangible info about them, but if they haven’t conceded any goals in 5 games then that a good feat

That’s why I said they’re a very strong team and it will be an advantage for them not to concede to the Super Eagles.

The officiating in this game is questionable. Favourable to the Super Eagles but these Ugandans are unnecessarily hyper and aggressive.
