President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today commissioned a refurbished and expanded Kayunga Hospital which has been upgraded to a regional referral hospital. The hospital also compromises 130 staff houses.
“Residents will not be required to move for specialized medical referral services anymore,” President Museveni said.

Kayunga Hospital also compromises of a New Main Hospital Complex for: OPD, Laboratory, Radiology, Accident and Emergency, Operation theatre, Maternity Ward and Private wing and Renovated and remodelled existing wards which include: male, female, paediatric and isolation wards.
Other existing medical buildings were also upgraded into support facilities such as Kitchens, Laundry, Stores, maintenance workshops, etc.
