Makerere University student elected LC1 Chairman

Lwanga Faisal, Makerere University finalist has today July 10, been elected LC1 Chairman, for Lumumba Village (Makerere), Kawempe Division.

Lwanga garnerd 38 votes while his counterpart Okirya Maurice managed 6 votes

Lwanga a bachelors of Social Science finalist said he is set to fulfill the duties of an LC1 chairman

“I am very glad today that I have been fully elected as the LC1 Chairman, am very confident that am going to fulfill the duties of the LC1 Chairman  to see that we make Makerere great again. “  Lwanga said.

Elsewhere; Kyambogo University student manages two votes 

Mr charles Lule a Kyambogo University student taking on Bachelors of Business Studies with Education has today morning garnered just two votes in the just concluded LC1 elections.

Lule this morning just after the elections confirmed that he got only two people lining up behind him.

“Things did not go as expected I only got two people on my side but next time better, as a leader I don’t have to be in office to act and I promise I will work for the betterment of my area,” Lule he was quoted saying

The Banda B9 LC1 elections were won by Osia Charles who garnered 56 votes beating four other contestants. Despite all the confusion and chaos that was witnessed as people complained of the quite unfair elections, Osia was declared winner.
