This came after Uganda’s failure to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final tournament in the hands of Malawi.
According to Aucho, they should now be focusing on the World Cup qualifiers that will start in June.
“Hard luck my brothers, my country Uganda,” Aucho wrote on his social media platforms.
“Let us now focus on the World Cup qualifiers in June. May God protect you and bless you more, guys,” he added.
Cranes suffered a 1-0 defeat against Malawi in their final group match at Kamuzu Stadium in Lilongwe.
It was Richard Mbulu who scored in the 15th minute to end the Cranes run.
Uganda finished third in Group B on eight points, two behind their day’s tormentors.
Meanwhile, Burkina Faso who beat South Sudan 1-0, had already secured their Afcon slot with the barren draw in Uganda last week.
Khalid Aucho has promised the team will make amends next time and qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
“And to the fans thanks for supporting Uganda Cranes, next time we shall make it, as we have been doing it, thanks a lot.”
It should be noted that Aucho did not make the Cranes squad for the two matches against Burkina Faso and Malawi.
He was kicked out of camp due to disciplinary issues.
