JUST IN – National Unity Platform’s (NUP) Latif Ssebagala has officially quit the Kampala Lord Mayoral 2021 Race days after being declared the party’s flag bearer for the position. However, Latif says that he has not left the National Unity Platform and he still has all his support for the party. He has also promised to give in all his maximum support for Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu in the coming 2021 presidential general elections.
“I am still a member of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and I want to assure you that I remain a staunch supporter for this party. Therefore I will continue to sacrifice for this party. Above all, also, I promise to support Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu in the coming 2021 Presidential Elections,” Hon Latif Ssebagala said.
Meanwhile, this comes days after NUP denied Jose Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone a card to contest for the same position. Therefore this sparked a fire within the Jose Chameleone camp and thus started to criticize Hon Latiff Ssebagala on the different social media platforms.
“We cant be yarning for change and you select Hon Latif Ssebagala over singer Jose Chameleone. This is because Latif has been in power for over 20 years therefore we need new faces to put right what the old leaders have failed to do. We, therefore, aren’t happy with NUP’s vetting committee,” social media in-laws said.
