FUFA offers $4000 to each of Uganda Hippos players

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) have welcomed the Uganda Hippos players in style.

According to the information reaching our desk, FUFA has offered $ 4000 to each of the 40 members of the Uganda U-20 team.

Uganda Hippos were at the AFCON U20 tournament in Mauritania where they made history.

The Morley Byekwaso coached side went up to the finals where they lost 2-0 to Ghana.

The federation hosted Uganda Hippos at a welcome luncheon after arrival from AFCON U20.


During the luncheon, the federation President Moses Magogo received an autographed jersey from the Uganda U-20 captain Kizito Gavin.

‘I thank all the players, technical committee members.”

“And other support staff who have worked with the U-20 team at the AFCON U20 in Mauritania. It remains work in progress,” Magogo said.

“We thank the UPL clubs that have given these young players the opportunity to play and compete,” he added.

The Hippos ended the tournament with eight goals scored and conceding five from the six games played.
