Former first lady Janeth Magufuli, widow to the deceased head of state, John Pombe Magufuli in a critical state following the unexpected death of her husband on the 17th of March this year.
Speaking to the press, Joseph Magufuli a son to the ailing widow and late president stated that his mother is in a critical condition after suffering a stroke but still stands with Tanzanians, the current ruling government and thanks them for the support and commitment they expressed during the time when she had lost her strength and her pillar.
“She is going on with treatment. She has asked me to convey her appreciation to Tanzanians for their condolences and cooperation immediately after announcement of Dr Magufuli’s death until his burial late last month,” communicated her son who also works as the family’s caretaker currently.
Janeth Magufuli suffered a stroke after she learned of her husband’s untimely death last month and this has hindered her from making any public appearances whatsoever because she is in a critical condition.
President Magufuli’s death shocked the entire East Africa community and Africa at large as it was never anticipated and there were no reports of ill health about the President in the recent past.

After his death, former Vice President Samia Suluhu took over the country as head of state basing on constitutional mandate. She has since fullfiled all state duties as expected of her and even recently signed a conglomerate with Ugandan head of state President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Although the country, region and continent seem to be recovering from the unbearable loss, it is obvious President Magufuli’s family is still greatly shaken. May God see them through this trying time.
