The National Unity Platform has confirmed the Death of Five it’s supporters whom it says they have been shot dead as police. This was shortly after Robert Kyagulanyi, the party flag bearer living Nakifuma Town where he recieved overwhelming support on his way to Buikwe.
“Just after our campaign meeting in Nakifuma earlier this morning, police has fired live bullets to our supporters leaving five of them dead,” the National Unity Platform tweeted.
In the same tweet, the National Unity PlatformIt has also blamed the police for knocking down some of its supporters.
“Many have succumbed to serious injuries when police trucks drove and knocked them down,” the tweet adds.
Robert Kyagulanyi is today campaigning in the Districts of Buikwe, Lugazi and Mukono as he continues with his nationwide vote Hunt to unseat President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is seeking to extend his rule to 40 years.
