Express FC thrash BUL in Jinja

Express FC produced a performance of the season so far after their 4-0 league win.

It was the Red Eagles’ away win to BUL FC at the Kyabazinga stadium on Saturday evening.

Goals from centre back Murushid Juuko, left back Arthur Kiggundu handed Express FC a win.

Others were forward George Ssenkaaba and midfielder Kayiwa Ibrahim ensured the 4-0 rout.

Wasswa Bossa’s charges went all out from the start pushing for an opener which only took 11 minutes.

Murushid Juuko nodded home Godfrey Lwesibawa’s corner on the far left to make it 1-0.

The hosts were all over the place but couldn’t penetrate the solid backline.

But only for BUL FC to be caught on a counter attack forcing goalkeeper Abdul Kimera to come out and clear the ball.

However, he handled it in the process outside the box.

This forced center referee William Oloya booked him and awarded Express FC a freekick.

The freekick was converted by Kiggundu Arthur for Express FC in the 32nd minute but with a slight deflection from BUL’s Ibrahim Mugulusi.

Three minutes to the break, Godfrey Lwesibawa made a blistering run on the left.

He perfectly crossed for George Ssenkaaba who made no mistake, calmly heading home to make it 3-0 for Express FC.

After recess, the tempo slowed down with Abel Etrude running the show in the middle of the park.

But it was the fourth goal that sent the visiting fans wild.

Eric Kambale got to the ball first before Abdul Kimera who was out of position.

Kambale then crossed to a waiting Kayiwa Ibrahim who nodded home his first of the season on his first appearance.

The win was Express FC’s second away win and takes Wasswa Bossa’s charges to third position on 16 points after eight match days.

Their next game will be another away trip to MYDA on Tuesday in Tororo.
