“Kitatta did not learn from those who came before him. Eric Sakwa did not learn from Kitatta.
Tomorrow we will no doubt see another overzealous fellow doing worse things to the people than Eric Sakwa and Kitatta did. As if under witchcraft, they never learn!
When they have been fully used, they are dumped and fall with a thud! Everyone else always knows how their story will end…..except perhaps themselves.
Their lives are always as predictable as the story of Old Chief Kakande! Anyone else remembers this story from the primary school days?
“Old Chief Kakande
Was born on Monday
Went to school on Tuesday
Went to work on Wednesday
Married on Thursday
Got ill on Friday
Died on Saturday
Was buried on Sunday
That was the end of Old Chief Kakande!”
I send condolences to families of those reportedly killed by Eric Sakwa and his men. I send thoughts to those who have been brutalized by Mr. Sakwa including Pastor Andrew Muwanguzi, our coordinator. I send a message of solidarity to the people of Jinja who lined up streets in jubilation to thank goodness as the days of their tormentor ran out. I send a prayer of fortitude and courage to Hon. Zaake. I know that one day, that is how Ugandans will line the streets to celebrate the fall of their tormentor for decades,” Bobi wrote on his page.
