Kenya national team defender Eric Ouma claims that his ultimate dream is to play for English Premier League giants Manchester United.
According to Ouma, if any chance for joining the Premier League comes, he would like to play for Manchester United.
The 23-year-old marauding left-back is currently plying his trade for AIK Fotboll in the Swedish top tier.
Asked which is his favorite team that he would love to play for in the future, the former Gor Mahia defender responded;
“Of course Manchester United,” Eric Ouma said.
“I will definitely look at the team with the best offer, and that is the one I can join,” he added.
Challenges he faced
Asked on the challenges he faced, before turning professional in Sweden, Eric Ouma had this to say.
“At one time, I suffered a very nasty injury which kept me out for a very long period.”
“But I never gave up because I knew I will come up stronger because of the passion of playing football.”
“Indeed I returned stronger after the injury and moved on,” he added.
Young players should believe
Eric Ouma also urged young players to always believe in themselves and never give up in order to fulfill their dreams.
“Just believe in yourself and since you are young you still have that energy.”
“Work hard now so that when you become old you will only be telling stories. It is within you and remains focused.”
Eric Ouma has featured Gor Mahia in Kenya before playing for several clubs in Europe including Kolkheti Poti, KS Kastrioti and Vasalund having joined AIK from Vasalund earlier this year.
He was also part of the Kenya squad that took part in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals staged in Egypt, where the country failed to get past the group stage.
