ENGLAND’S WOMEN were narrowly beaten by New Zealand in their final warm-up game before they head to the World Cup.

England went behind at the AMEX against the run of play when Gregorious – who had been non-existent in the game – pounced on a poor Alex Greenwood clearance.

The Football Ferns – led by Tom Sermanni – were recently thrashed 5-0 by the USA who are keenly fancied for the tournament so the result will worry Neville and his team.
