Rema Namakula is a female recording artist from Uganda. She was born on 24th April 1991 to the late Hamida Nabbosa and the late Mukibi Ssemakula. Rema Namakula is the last born in her family. In addition, Rema went to Kitante Primary School for primary education. She then joined Saint Balikudembe Senior Secondary School for both her O&A Level education.
Namakula then joined Kyambogo University for her University Education. She started her musical career at a tender age during her Senior six vacation. Rema was Halima Namakula’s back-up singer.
In addition, Halima Namakula is a famous female musician in the Ugandan music industry. She, therefore, mentored Rema Namakula however, Rema continued her career as a musician as a back-up singer for Gagamel Boss Bebe Cool.

However, Bebe Cool fired Rema Namakula when he watched her on TV talking about launching a solo album in 2013. In the same year after getting fired, she released Oli Wange which was written by one of Uganda’s best songwriters Nince Henry. In addition, Oli Wange went viral thus making Rema Namakula a very famous artist in the Ugandan Music Industry.
