Edward Satulo joins Wakiso Giants

As preparation for the 2020/2021 continues, Wakiso Giants announced the signing of central defender Edward Satulo alias Satro.

The defender signed a three-year contract until 2023 with an option for extension for a further year.

The highly-rated 20-year old defender signs from Wobulenzi FC but has previously played for Gomba and Ssingo in the annual Masaza Cup tournament.

He won the competition twice in 2017 and 2018 with Gomba and Ssingo respectively but had earlier lost the finals with the former in 2016.

Edward Satulo ready for tough challenge

Edward Satulo was excited about joining The Purple Sharks. In addition, and said that he is ready for the tough challenge ahead of him in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

“It’s a big step in my career and it couldn’t come at a better time and club. I have won everything in Masaza Cup and feel ready for the challenge in the top division.”

Douglas Bamweyana praised Edward Satulo

Wakiso Giants head coach Douglas Bamweyana praised Edward Satulo. In addition, claiming that his qualities will enable him to become one of the greatest defenders ever.

“Satulo is a talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club.”

“He has all the attributes that a centre-back needs; physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality and is ready to learn,” Douglas Bamweyana said.
