Disan Galiwango has been linked to a move to KCCA FC in the past weeks but he has come out to clear the air.
Through his Twitter handle, Galiwango clarified that he will stay at Express FC to get more success.
“Success comes to those who are honest and confident in their endeavor. Am to stay at Express,” Galiwango tweeted.
KCCA had promised Galiwango a three-year deal
According to reports, Galiwango had been promised a three-year contract should he accept a move to StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.
He could have become the second captain to move to KCCA from Express FC after John Revita left as a free agent in 2019.
“We should pull it off if all goes well. Both parties are interested. He is coming as a free agent but terms with the player have not been concluded yet.
“When done with all our targets, I’ll let you know,” a source close to KCCA was quoted saying.
Isaac Mwesigwa confirms
However, new Express FC CEO Isaac Mwesigwa denied the rumours that their captain is a free agent.
“I assure you Galiwango is not a free agent. He is our player contracted up to 2022. He is not going anywhere,” Mwesigwa told media.
Disan Galiwango’s commitment will come as a huge boost to Express FC who are trying to rebuild the team.
In the 2019/2020 season, Galiwango managed to score six goals after being moved to a more advanced role.
Galiwango’s stay at the Wankulukuku based club looks like a new signing to the new head coach Wasswa Bbosa.
Recently, Bbosa revealed that he had been tasked to win the UPL title in the next three years.
