WCB Wasafi Records CEO Diamond Platnumz has today revealed that he made Sh4.2 million from his Waah Collaboration with Koffi Olomide. This video had garnered around 39 million views at the time, however, it has over 60 million views right now.
The singer has therefore lectured the masses on how content creators earn from the content that they create.
“When the song WAAH reached 39,358,770 million views it made 32,266.53 million Euros equivalent to 89,869,867.07 million shillings. So when you hear Word Views, it’s not just the pride of people watching a song or content …
It’s Distribution sales, Sales through people watching. Not every song if you convey those views you can earn that amount of money, it also depends on your song being watched a lot in any country … because there are Some countries whose views do not earn a lot of money … advertisers are budgeting … So let’s work hard to make sure our work is monitored by foreign countries as well” Diamond Platnumz shared.
