Manchester United’s number one goalkeeper David De Gea has admitted he wants to end his career at Old Trafford.
“I want to say that I am approaching my 10-year spell at Old Trafford and surely I would love to end my career here,” David said.
Manchester United signed David De Gea fro Atletico de Madrid in the summer of 2011 to come and replace Edwin Van der Sar. In addition, Van der Ser had was in his final season at the club, therefore this forced the board to jet in another great talent. However, he was fighting alongside Lindegaard in goal for the number one spot.
In addition, David De Gea had a very tricky start in goal in his first season in English football. However, he showed his worth in goal for the No 1 role under sir Alex Ferguson.
David De Gea played a key role in helping Ferguson secure his final title in English football in the 2012/2013 season. In addition, he kept 11 clean sheets and also got a place in the Premier Team of the year (PFA).
However, ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left, Manchester United has not yet won the premier league title. However, De gea has put out individual performances for example he has the club’s player of the year award four times. De Gea’s contract expires in 2013 therefore he has come out to show his love for the club.
“I am pretty sure I am getting older at the club but I am so happy to be part of this amazing club,” De Gea said.
