The Real Madrid midfielder returns to the Emirates following an impressive debut Premier League campaign under Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal will not have a clause to make the 24-year-old’s stay a permanent one at the end of the season.
Arteta applauds Dani Ceballos
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is delighted to get the deal over the line and he is happy that Ceballos joined them again.
“Dani was an integral part of our team last season and finished the season in excellent form.”
“I love Dani’s passion and commitment and he’s a highly skilful player.”
“We’re all delighted to welcome him back and we look forward to seeing him pick up where he left off,” he said.
Edu thrilled with Dani Ceballos’ deal
Ceballos was an instrumental figure under Arteta helping the club lift the FA Cup.
According to Arsenal Technical director Edu, the Spanish midfielder will add a lot to Arsenal’s midfield.
“We’re thrilled to have Dani back with us for the new season.”
“We all know his qualities after an impressive 2019-2020 campaign, which ended with him playing a key role in our FA Cup success.”
“We’re excited to add Dani to the list of quality players we are bringing in,” Edu said.
Dani Ceballos made two assists in 22 Premier League appearances for the Gunners and featured 37 times across all competitions.
His arrival is likely to see the departure of Lucas Torreira who is wanted by Fiorentina.
Torreira is subject to a £24million offer from the Serie A side with Arteta hoping to raise cash and land other targets.
The Spaniard reportedly wants to use the cash generated to help land Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
