The ministry of health has recorded 77 New COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of the country’s confirmed cases to 2,756.
Of the 77 new cases, 65 are contacts and alerts, nine are health workers while there are truck drivers.
Kampala had 42 of the 65 contacts and alerts. Amuru has 4, Kikuube has 4, Mukono has 4, Wakiso has 3, Luwero has 3, Arua has 2 while Bundibugyo, Busia and Jinja have one case each of the confirmed COVID-19 cases.
The nine health workers that tested positive for COVID-19 were from Kampala with five, Kikuube with two, Arua and Gulu.
These truck drivers who tested positive for coronavirus were from Vuru, Malaba and Busia border points.
Nine foreign truck drivers including seven Kenyans, a Tanzanian, and a Congolese were denied entry into the country. In addition when they tested COVID-19 positive at the different points of entry.

These were from the 3,621 samples that were run today of which 3,013 were from contacts and alerts. In addition, and the remaining 608 from points of entry.
Of the 2,756 cumulative confirmed cases, Uganda has registered 1,288 recoveries and 28 fatalities.
