COVID-19 Death Toll Reaches 70 As Uganda Registers 185 New Cases.

201 Test Positive As Uganda's COVID-19 Cases Reach 4101.

The ministry of health has registered one COVID-19 death from Kisoro bringing the country’s cumulative fatalities to 70.

Uganda has also recorded 185 new cases from the results of COVID-19 tests done on 23 September 2020. This brings the cumulative COVID-19 cases to 7,064.

Today’s new coronavirus cases include 184 contacts, and alerts, and a returnee from India.

Kampala had 55 of the contacts and alerts that tested positive for COVID-19 while Omoro had 23, Kapchorwa (14), Mukono (12), Apac (10), Gulu (7), Mbale (7), Sironko (7), Rakai (6), Arua (4), Butaleja (5), Jinja (4), Masaka (6), Terego (4) and Oyam (3).

Bundibugyo, Lira, Nwoya, and Sheema recorded two cases each while Bushenyi, Ibanda, Isingiro, Kaberamaido, Kayunga, Kisoro, Tororo, Wakiso, and Zombo had one case each.

According to the ministry of health, Uganda’s coronavirus cumulative recoveries are now 3,226.

Meanwhile, more than 32,143,941 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed worldwide with 23,709,324 recoveries and 982,766 COVID-19 death.
