Coronavirus update: It is worrying for Ugandans ever since the reporting of the first Covid-19 case in the country. On Friday morning President Museveni confirmed four new cases of Covid-19 bringing the total to 18.

President Museveni has confirmed bad news on his Twitter handle and Facebook page.

According to the President, on 26th March 2020, a group of 197 people ran a test. In addition, and many of them were returnees from Dubai or another category one countries but only four (4) were positive. Keep following Cyclone Times Uganda to get the latest coronavirus update.

“These four had been under institutional quarantine in the various hotels identified by the sub-committee on quarantine. They have been evacuated to Mulago Hospital for treatment,” He said.

The good news is that yesterday but one, the 25th of March, 104 returnees from UAE or their associates were all negative.

Although, it is too early to accurately determine whether we are defeating the virus or not. However, the good news is the majority of the 14 people hospitalized at Entebbe, Mulago.
