Bobi Wine Heads Back To Busoga For Eastern Vote Hunt

National Unity Platform presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is today set to campaign in Busoga sub region before moving his campaigns to other parts of Eastern Region.

Robert Kyagulanyi will first campaigns in Mayinga before heading to Busoga sub region for the districts of Jinja and Kamuli. He will then continue transversing other parts of Eastern Region.

The first time Kyagulanyi campaigned in Busoga sub region, he promised restore the region back to it’s former glory. He was also bitter to the current regime for the decline of learning institutions, high levels of poverty, poor heath care and low infrastructural development in the region.

Being the country’s sugarcane growing hub, Kyagulanyi promised to review the sugarcane prices and land tenure system in the region.

He later moved to campaign in other regions before making his. second return to Busoga sub region on 18 November to campaign in Luuka District, were he was arrested and later detained at Nalufenya Police Station in Jinja District for defying the coronavirus guidelines of the electoral commission and Ministry of Health.

This sparked nationwide protests which led to the death of many Ugandans and left soars injured. Kyagulanyi was later granted Bail by Iganga Magistrates Court after spending two days in detention.
