Students have been advised to always put into use the skills they possess during the period of internship.
This was echoed by the Human Resource Manager at Monitor publications limited, Ritah Mugerwa during the Career expo at Kampala International University.
‘’When applying for an internship, attach the skills that you possess that will make you stand out in the eyes of the recruiters,”Rita expounded.
She further added that the importance of taking on an internship role is to gain job experience and to try to gain some contacts within one’s given field, which will hopefully lead to some eventual job prospects.
