4 months old baby tests positive

The Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe has today the 11th of June confirmed 121 new coronavirus cases in Kenya. In addition, these were from 3291 samples tested in the last 24 hours. Therefore the total number of COVID-19 infections in Kenya now stands at 3215. However, a 4-year-old and an 86-year-old both tested positive for the deadly virus.

Details of the new coronavirus cases

115 cases of the confirmed cases are Kenyans while the other 6 are foreigners. In addition, 49 cases are from Nairobi, 20 cases are from Mombasa. Kajiado has 5, migori 5, Kiambu and Kilifi 2 cases each, Muranga and Nyeri have 1 case each. Meanwhile, a 4-year-old emerged the youngest while the oldest was an 86-year-old.

Therefore this now brings the total number of positive coronavirus cases in Kenya to 3215,” Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said.

On a sad note, 3 more people succumbed to the deadly coronavirus thus bringing the total number of deaths to 92 in Kenya.

In conclusion, to date, Kenya has recorded a total of 1,092 COVID-19 recoveries ever since the outbreak of the virus in the country. The Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, therefore, thanked all the health workers for the job well done in saving the lives of Kenyans. However, he also urged all Kenyan citizens to practice the preventive measure put in place by MOH Kenya.
