The Fred Kajoba coached side will StarTimes Uganda Premier League newcomers MYDA FC at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende as they look to build on their three-match unbeaten run.
According to Kajoba, the Venoms must score goals and defend well if they are to get victory from the game.
“It’s the work we’ve been doing on the pitch for weeks now and it’s been going well. We have to score and equally defend well,” Fred Kajoba said.
“The goals we have conceded are avoidable and we are hoping to do better, plus the boys are already aware of the importance of maintaining a clean sheet,” he added.
Prior to the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) break last December, the Venoms had beaten Kitara and Busoga United.
However, they drew with Wakiso Giants hence garnering seven points from a possible nine.
They will be aiming to keep the momentum and produce a good performance versus the league new comers.
On the other hand, the visitors have had a harsh welcome to the top flight where they have won none one of their last four games.
They have conceded at least twice in each of their four matches.
Fred Kajoba will be hoping to have most of the team available for him.
Yunus Sentamu provides a bonus going forward as the striker made a timely return to the club for a second time having signed a two year deal last month.
Victory for Fred Kajoba’s side will greatly boost the confidence and morale of the team going into the away encounter against Express FC next Tuesday.
Aziz Kayondo, Ivan Asaba, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Najib Yiga and Richard Basangwa have commitments with the Uganda U-20 hence are unavailable.
