Despite the suspension of all football-related activities in the country, Tooro United have terminated the contract of their head coach Muhammed Kisekka citing poor results in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Kisekka joined Tooro United two months ago to replace Eric Ndifuna who was also fired due to poor performances.
“The management of the club has made the decision to part ways with the head coach and his assistant with immediate effect,” the statement from the club reads.
“This is as a result of the duo failing to meet the club’s set standards and targets of performances,” it continues.
To join Tooro United, Kisekka was sacked from Bright Stars towards the end of the first round due to poor results also.
The Fort Portal based club is expected to announce a new head coach in the coming days who will guide them during the final part of the season.
They are currently lying bottom on the 16-team league table with 22 points from 25 games played with five games to go.
They will need to win all their remaining games in the league if they are to guarantee survival in the league.
