Supporting Museveni doesn’t mean I agree with him – Patrick Salvador

Uganda’s finest comedian Patrick Salvador has opened about the continued detention of former presidential candidate Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine.

According to Salvador, he says that it’s a fact that he a staunch diehard of incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, however, he made it clear that he doesn’t really agree with everything the ruling government does…

This followed the unlawful and also continued detention of National Unity Platform’s presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi… The man from Ombokolo also revealed that no African country has ever achieved/held free and fair elections over the past decades…

“Supporting @KagutaMuseveni doesn’t necessarily mean I agree with everything his government does. The general treatment of opposition during the whole election period has been appalling, especially the treatment of @bobiwine – There hasn’t been any sensible reason Y @bobiwine or his colleagues are still under detention.

It’s a very sad & disturbing thing wen those you have faith in cause injustice.

As 4 #FreeNFair elections. I’m sorry if we still think this can be achieved anywhere in Africa. It’s taken me time to share my feelings coz well whatever I tried to communicate was watered down by insultsbut at the end of the day I’m human & I know injustice #FreeDomIs4All” Patrick Salvador posted.
