Several Ugandan politicians have eulogised fallen Second Deputy Prime Minister, Kirunda Kivejinja, as a patriot. He passed on yesterday at Mulago National Referral Hospital were he has been admitted since last month.
Ugandan Prime Minister the Rt Hon Ruhakana Rugunda described the veteran politician as a great Pan Africanist.
“His passing is huge loss to the country, of a great Pan Africanist & repository ofour history and journey of social, political and Economic transformation,” he said.
“We convey our condolences to the family, relatives and friends of comrade Alhajji Ali Kirunda Kivejinja. We salute comrade Kivejinja for his stellar service to the country, Africa and humanity. His wisdom and counsel will be deeply missed,” he added.
