Several Ugandan politicians including Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, have paid tribute to fallen senior political analyst, Anas Kaliisa who passed on yesterday. Kaliisa has been a regular panelist of Ensi n’ebyayo program which is aired every Sunday on NBS TV.

According to a family member, Kaliisa left office at Naguru today and returned home to have a rest as was his routine but he collapsed dead at home. Family members say the cause of death is not known since he never complained of any illness.
The deceased’s body has now been taken to Mulago to carry out a postmortem that will tell the exact cause of death.Dr. A. He was a graduate of the Islamic University of Medina with a B.A in Law and a certificate of practice from Law Development Centre – Makerere University. Anas Kaliisa held a Ph.D. in Islamic laws from Makerere University. He was also a member of the World Jurisprudence Academy which is charged with passing laws governing the Muslims around the world.
Anas Kaliisa was an administrator and successfully established the house of Zakkah and Waqf in Uganda, the first of its kind, and has been a successful model for revamping other Zakkaf bodies in these countries that had phased out due to poor management. He was also the chairman of Salam TV. May Allah accept his work.
