President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will tomorrow address the country as the country gears up for the presidential and parliamentary on Thursday 14th January 2021. The address is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 7.00 pm.
The move has been confirmed by the senior press secretary to the president, Don Wanyama through his Twitter handle.
“@Kaguta Museveni will address the country tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7 pm ahead of the Thursday Presidential and Parliamentary elections. Address, to be relayed on all radios & TVs, will focus on key issues going into elections,” Don Wanyama tweeted.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is battling 10 candidates through the NRM party to retain the highest office in the land. If elected, President Museveni will be extending his stay in power to 40 years.
Among the closest contenders who are seeking to unseat President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is youthful popstar turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi wine under the National Unity Platform. Others include Patrick Amuriat Oboi of the forum for Democratic Change party and Mugisha Muntu of the Alliance for National Transformation party.
