The final year students of Kabale University school of medicine will resume their teaching and learning activities which have been on hold since March on 3rd October 2020.
“This is to inform all Final Year Students in Health Science Programmes, that teaching and learning activities which were halted in March due to the outbreak of COVID-19 will resume on Saturday 3 October 2020,” the university statement reads in part.
“You are therefore requested to report on Saturday 3 October 2020,” the Academic Registrar Narcicir Tibenderana added.
Students will be required to You will be required to report at the university with at least four reusable masks, two clinical coats, two aprons, two uniforms for Nursing Science, four 50mls bottles of alcohol-based hand sanitizers for personal use.
Kabale University students will also be required to attend training on COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS).
Additionally, the ministry of health standard operating procedures such as Mandatory wearing of a face mask at all times. Also, social distancing, washing of hands regularly, and sanitizing hands will also be followed at the university.

According to the academic registrar, the duration of the remaining Semester is 8 weeks. This includes 6 weeks for teaching and learning and 2 weeks for examinations.
