Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi alongside his wife Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda have today at the Kireka based palace in Kampala received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Basing on pictures and information from close sources at the palace, the royal family in deed got vaccinated today in a bid to prevent the royal family from contacting the deadly virus.
Senior lawyer and Buganda kingdom minister for Special assignment David F.K Mpanga confirmed the informed as it had already caught everyone’s attention on social media as he said;
“Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and the Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata were vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Lubiri in Kireka today,”
The Kabaka has made multiple public appearances in the recent past as he was spotted yesterday in a busy suburb market grocery shopping which surprised many people since they rarely see him in public.
This comes shortly after terrifying news spread around alleging that the head of the kingdom has caught a strange disease and was battling for his after saddening not just Buganda subjects but the nation at large.
To calm people’s hearts, Prime Minister of Buganda in his statement stated that the Kabaka only caught a terrible allergy but was in deed stable and would soon recover from the illness.
Since the Kabaka of Buganda has received his vaccine against novel corona virus, subjects can be sure that the king of Buganda’s life is not only stable but now he has immunity against the deadly virus.
