Sentamu got to a nice start to life at Vipers SC again after scoring his first goals for the club during their 7-0 victory on Saturday.
“I was excited when l found out l will start the game because am happy to be back home,” Yunus Sentamu said before adding.
“I thank the coach for the opportunity he gave me to make my debut after just signing a week ago.”
“I know l can still score goals if given the chance, it is a privilege for me and this is an opportunity for me to redeem myself.
“l want to give my all to go up again and keep winning games.”
“I’m happy to score two goals on my debut. The goals were amazing and that’s what team work does.”
“My teammates scored superb goals as well but the most important thing is the victory.”
“Hopefully today was just the first two goals of many for Vipers SC,” he added.
Making his first start in the Uganda Premier League, Yunus Sentamu struck twice to help the Venoms defeat MYDA 7-0 at St Mary’s Stadium.
It was a moment to savour for the 26-year old who has been out of action for over a year.
Paul Mucureezi also scored twice while Caesar Manzoki, Ibrahim Orit and Disan Galiwango added a goal apiece.
Saturday’s victory took Vipers to third place on 10 points in four games with their next fixture away to Express FC coming up on Tuesday next week.
Vipers will climb on top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table on 13 points if they register a win against Express FC on Tuesday.
