Housing finance Managing Director Mathias Katamba has tendered in his resignation letter as scandals continue to bit banking sector.
Mr Katamba handed in his resignation board after four years at the helm of the bank.
Katamba took charge of Housing Finance Bank in March 2014he has he since been praised for his policies that improved and turned around the bank’s financial performance and culture.
Housing Finance Bank Board has however, Thursday tapped Michael Karokora Mugabi the new Managing Director in the acting capacity.
Mugabi has been serving as the bank’s Chief Executive Officer.
The bank’s board of directors in a statement Thursday October 25 praised Katamba’s contribution and wished him well.
Housing Finance Bank which was licenced 10 years ago by the Central Bank and is primarily involved in Mortgage Banking
It is owned mostly by NSSF (50%) and Government of Uganda through Ministry of Finance (49%)
