Equal Opportunities Boss Case Moved to High Court

The Kololo Ant corruption court has sent the case in which The Equal Opportunities Commissions chairperson Sylvia Muwebwa Ntambi is facing corruption charges and misappropriation of funds to the High Court.

It’s alleged that between July 2018 and April 2019 at Equal Opportunities Commissions offices in Kampala, Sylvia Muwebwa Ntambi neglected her duty of directing the affairs and administration of the commission which led to mismanagement of the commission funds.

Prosecution is also being accusing Ntambi of conspiring with other Equal Opportunities stuff defraud government of UGX 35
Million between November 2018 and April 2019 among them being the commission Senior monitoring and evaluation officer.

Sylvia is being charged with nine others including the former senior personal secretary to the chairperson, Ms Agnes Enid Kamahoro, Moses Mugabe – senior monitoring and evaluation officer and Harriet Byangire, a senior accountant.

Others are Ronnie Kwesiga – Acting accounts assistant, Evans Jjemba – Principal Compliance officer, Manasseh Kwihangana – senior compliance officer, Sarah Nassanga – office attendant and Sunday Nicholas Olwor.
